Established in late 2007, The Royal Society blended high energy electro-pop and biting hiphop lyricism (crowned by the occasional new wave synth riff), thus creating an inimitable signature (and monogrammed) sound.  They shot to stardom signing with Warner Music in 2009 and supporting mega-artist Flo Rida on the success of their national top ten hit You Say (It Was Supposed To Be).  They followed that up with their second single All The Little Things, hitting #11 on the charts.

Art direction being both an affliction and an incurable passion for Nikki Awesome, it was decreed that like true monarchs, The Royal Society set itself about surrounding themselves with palatial décor.  From public appearances to seemingly candid photographs to creating innovative and artistic video treatments, The Royal Society would indubitably sport the full regalia with pride and purpose.

Holding juxtaposed courts in Toronto’s underground club scene and in international mainstream mass media, The Royal Society’s catapult to center stage was as gracious as their ascension as media darlings.  Featured in the pages of many Toronto print publications, the envied and often flaunted aristocracy dominated the internet browsers of loyal subjects worldwide.  Backed by fans and subjects armed only with the phrase “Loyal to the Royals”, The Royal Society aimed to rule supreme, and were without a doubt, majestic.

Though the group no longer perform together, having developed different solo projects, We bid you stay loyal: Accept as your Sovereigns The Royal Society, Imperialism for Your Ears.
