LONDON LOVES
THE MYSTERY OF A SPEEDING CAR
LONDON LOVES
THE MISERY OF A SPEEDING HEART….

– blur

Have just returned from London (only slightly unwillingly) for a TV appearance on Much Music here in Toronto, followed by a meeting with Naughty By Nature, a few Canadian Music Week shows and a quickie two week rehearsal stint for our upcoming shows between Toronto and Montreal (hello Burlington, Missisauga, Ottawa blah blah blah blah) with The other Royals.

Was in a gorgeous members club on the weekend singing impromptu at the piano upstairs with Suggs from Madness only a few days ago, the return to a bleak and unfriendly city like Toronto seems both unnecessary and painful. Even though my plane had to avert a crash on the runway coming into Pearson International I still just feel like hopping back on the plane..

destination=anywhere, baby.

go check out this blog, it’ll make you feel like things are somewhat ok in the world again

  1. toronto gives off a chill like no other… i dunno, was it ever cool to be unfriendly? dont get it. soon all the destinations will lead to you anyway and you’re gorgeousness will be everywhere. work it work it own it

    ask Naughty ’bout the wild west here…they were in Castlegar, BC in February, the Royals should check out Nelson (the next town over, like toronto is to mississauga). it aint london ont or eng but its different.

    in the meantime, write more 😉

  2. HEYYYYYYY

    how’s it going babe.. you are MISSED in this unfriendly city. Yeah, its true. Toronto does give off a chill like no other. I just feel like a lot of people here are so caught up in how they are percieved… like even dating someone is weird here — it’s more about them telling you how great they are and why you should sign up to be their accessory. Does anyone else want to tell them Brooklyn did it better and fuck off with that Joey Jeremiah hat already or is it just me?

    So you’re in BC now?

    xo
